Lightweight drag brakes
Who has swapped out the front or rear Camaro SS Brembo brakes for a lightweight drag brakes setup? How's it feel on the street cruising around town if I need to stop normally? Also what's the weight savings front or rear? I've seen Baer and Aerospacehave kits available

you could also check out the brake package Carlyle Racing has: https://www.carlyleracing.com/produc...ood-brake-kit/
or their full 15" conversion: https://www.carlyleracing.com/produc...camaro-15-kit/

I've got Carlyle's out back and aerospace up front. Not really noticing any difference on the street. Aerospace says 40lbs up front. Not sure on the Carlyle rears but they are definitely lighter. I can still stop at the end of the 1/8th clocking 119 so they're still good brakes.

I just bought the drag aerospace front kit. they're not vented so no street use for me anymore. total kit weight is 27lbs.
for street driving the pro street kit is vented and comes in at 37lbs

I got the pro street kit. Our shut down isn't very long at the track so I wanted to make sure it had the braking power to stop this tank lol

Stock Brembos weight
Hey fellas,
I have attached a picture of the list of exact weights of all the stock Brembos stuff. I took this off my personal car when I was swapping to V6 brakes. I couldn't find solid weights online before I did them, so I hope this helps anyone out. Peace, Ben |
