The problem with replacing those arms is that, sometimes the stamped stock pieces are a LOT stronger than some tubular mass-manufactured part.
The new part may be a little lighter, but it might also be prone to failure in a high-stress road racing application. Or the stress of 100,000 street miles... |

keyword being "sometimes" ive yet to see an application where stamped steel is better/stronger than a chromoly replacement. especially when they are created for the sole purpose of racing use, whether that be road racing or drag racing

Ok Thanks: But I believe I just read in a <s>diffrent</s> thread.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13403 <s>The v-6 will have LS rear.</s> <s>The v-8 ss models will have open diff with traction control.</s> I am more interested in specks on rear Pumpken for Gear options. A selectable locker would be geat with LS. $0.02 Last edited by SRFnSNO; 02-15-2009 at 08:47 AM. |

You misread. Check out the various specifications on Chevy's website or any other thread, or re-read that same thread again. No V8 will have an open diff. It's in the PDF in this thread:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7790 Search the PDF for "limited". The first hit will be the V6 equipment page, where it says MT only. The second hit will be the V8 page.
