Engine Matches Car...
'10 CAMARO LS:
Where do I look to see if the engine is the one the car came with? With all these loose harnesses, plugs not in all the way, broken hoses and fittings, I am leaning more towards the motor was replaced. Just asking where on the motor to look, to match it to the car. |

Found this thread: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400525. Compare the VIN on the engine with the one in the dash and hopefully they're the same

Ahh, misread that myself. Maybe you can match a serial number to a VIN?

Call the dealer and get a parts guy. He should be able to give a serial number for the engine with the VIN. Well, that's the case with most vehicles, never did it with a GM.
