2015 Z28 KOOKS HEADERS
DOES ANYBODY HAVE KOOKS LONG TUBE HEADERS ON THERE CAR,
IVE BEEN TOLD THEY BOLT RIGHT IN AND CONNECT TO THE EXISTING EXHAUST , AND IF SO DO U NEED THE EXTENSION PIPE , THEY SAY NO CUTTING WELDING ETC , APPRECIATE ANY INPUT KEN |

The better question is, who has installed them themselves You need a connection pipe (whether catted or catless); I don't recall if they had to cut my exhaust, but don't think so. According to the installation instructions on their site, there doesnt appear to be any cutting involved:

The Kooks LT’s fit in right. I didn’t have to cut anything but, went cat-less in my circumstances... but, yes they fit on w/ little issue no cutting.

Afaik you'll have to tune to avoid the light and make the most of them unless you are doing the green cats (supposedly they can be put on with no tune and won't throw a CEL due to O2 sensor placement); even then it would be better to tune. I had the green cats on my last z/28, but still got it tuned...

I installed mine a few months ago. Took me 3-4 hours. I took my time. I did a thread about it. There is 1 bolt you’ll have to break off or cut off to get the headers to slide right in. It’s a stud that holds the passenger side heat shield to the car.
My car didn’t throw a check engine light. I also installed an MSD atomic intake at the same time. I didn’t drive it much though. I took it right out to a shop for a tune shortly after

You can fake the computer so the you have no codes after install, to do that we run O2 extensions on the rear's O2's that has worked in my Z/28 from the day we prototype the KOOKS LONG TUBE HEADERS 1 7/8 back in 2014.

Which extensions are you running? Are you running any cats? Do you think this would work with the American Racing 1 7/8 Z/28 version also. Thanks in advance.

The kooks headers come with Oxygen sensor extensions and all of the hardware you need. The come with Percy gaskets and stage 8 locking fasteners. You’ll also have to order either a catless mid pipe or a catted mid pipe.
