What brand of power steering fluid is equivalent to the GM fluid recommended?
What brands do you use?

It's not that much money, why use something not recommended by GM?

Moment of need vs want sometimes dictates it. Sometimes you have to use what is on hand. Might be the day you need it and the dealer is closed. lots of reasons why one would do it...Even Independent shops do it. Customer wants car today. Will take a day to get the GM stuff delivered. Same stuff, let's use this
And honestly a lot of fluids are the same. Power steering fluid a lot of times is just rebranded Mercon auto trans fluid
