To me I drove both and what you are asking is two different questions. the l99 Is a good daily driver because it's an auto ,but for me the ls3 is more fun because it's a stick. It really comes down to what you like.

+1 I wouldn't want to drive the LS3 in bumper-to-bumper daily traffic! That would suck! However, since it's not my DD, I bought her for pure fun!

My L99 is my daily driver... I would never even consider the LS3. I drove manuals for the first 15 years of my driving life ... Since I'm a bit older & drive 64 miles round trip in stop & go traffic every day... the LS3 was not even an option. Now, if this car was not my daily driver... I would have gone with the LS3...for the FUN of it!! My L99 is FAST enough tho & quite FUN!!

Not to piss anyone off but why buy a sports car and NOT shift gears. LS3 for me.

why not?
the only reason I don't think I'm getting stick is because my dad is paying half
of the camaro and he is tired of driving stick. so I guess this time I might go with auto. but stick next time

No offence here, I don't really look at the camaro as a sports car. Now a corvette, that's different.

The Camaro is NOT a sports car so no worries on all you L99 drivers. Though i have an LS3 b/c it is not my DD and it is a riot. Also to the "paddle shifter" comment, so not the same as a true manual and it is not true paddle shift, its auto stick, plain and simple. A true paddle shift tranny cost more than a Camaro!

Manual vs. automatic...you'll get as many differing opinions as there are responses/members here.

I chose the manual because for me, it is much more fun. Yes this is my daily driver and I LOVE driving it in traffic.

Pick whichever one YOU will be most comfortable with, you won't be disappointed in either of them I'm sure.

To me, at some point those "paddleshifters" are a real pain when changing gears while turning.

I miss my '97 with a six speed. LS3 for me traffic or no traffic.

You basically have to ask yourself "do I want to be involved in driving this car EVERY time I drive it"? Or, do you want to vegge out? I am 50 and I got the manual and YES I do sit in traffic from time to time. But I like to enjoy the driving experience and I could not pass up the extra 26HP of the LS3.
