Fun winter sports car recommendations?
Location: NE usa
Price range: $10k down, $300/mon (or about $24K). I'd also consider $2-300/mon with no money down on a 3yr lease Lease or Buy: prefer buy, see above. New or used: either Type of vehicle: sporty Must haves: fun, engaging driving experience, good sound, rear seats for kids a plus, but not required, sub 50K miles (used), heated seats/wheel, good car heater Dont care about: storage, mileage, ease of use, functionality, color, appearance Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): manual strongly preferred Intended use: non boring winter car for me, summer fun car for wife. Vehicles you've already considered: Mini Cooper JCW, STI, s2000, 350z, Si, z06 and stingray vettes, e92 m3, e46 m3, various other bmw's, audi tt Is this your 1st vehicle: lol no. I'm about 20 deep Do you need a Warranty: nice to have a few months left to sort out issues, but not needed. Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: yes Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: too much effort Additional Notes: I bought an unloved Mini Cooper JCW that I refreshed/upgraded (bucket list, check) into a really amazing little sports car. Its great in winter and fun for my wife in summer. But I want a change after a few years. I own a new zl1 so I dont need much power or status in this car, but I want something fun. I've owned a lot of mid range sport s cars (listed above) and have driven in winter (good roads and driver here) and am looking for something different, but along the same lines. I was thinking about maybe a miata or fiata (fiat 124), dodge charger or challenger (out of budget I think).. maybe a focus rs?! Maybe you guys have some other suggestions? Ps - I wont own another audi or subaru ever - bad experiences there. Or mistubishi.

I drive my Camaro year round. Just put some winters on it for 6 months and you'll be fine.
