Corsa Xtreme On Factory Exhaust Manifold
I have a 2010 Camaro SS and I very interested in the Corsa Xtreme Catback (14968). My car is currently running the factory manifolds which will be replaced in the future, of course. The exhaust is 3 inches and I wanted to know if it will simply bolt on to the manifold without any welding or adjustments in clamps or joints.

Are you doing this solely for the sound or expecting power too? I'll throw it out there because that system isn't gonna get you any more hp unless you are running higher boost

Doing this solely for sound. I want a nice tone and loud volume, but without headers for now. I was in-between this catback or a borla atak. What would you recommend?

This is not a loud exhaust. This is a make your ears bleed exhaust. My car emptied the entire building while on the dyno

^^^^^ yep, it is wake the dead loud!! I have a Flowmaster 3" ZL1 Outlaw catback on mine, and IT is loud, but the drone was just tooo much, so I ordered the Corsa Sport quad catback yesterday. If you want loud, then the Extreme is what you want...Nice job Banana!!! hehe...

Wow I knew the exhaust was loud, but it sounds like ya'll are being over dramatic with it . Anyways, I just wanted to run the corsa with my factory exhaust manifold and bring much needed volume. If not, headers will be the next move.

I wish this was the case. I actually had to add a resonated X pipe to quiet it down a little. There are others on this board who can vouch for my statements, they were there.

Was this before you added the cam, headers, bolts ons, etc? Kinda excited for it by the way you put it. My ears may handle it hopefully.

Honestly, I would get the headers put on and then see what you think. This is my car with catless longtubes, x-pipe and STOCK mufflers. It sounds great at idle, zero drone, and when you get on it it's a beast. I've gotten a good number of compliments on it.

Sounds good! I might go headers first and work my way to the catback.

The Corsa with stock manifolds will be loud but still sound great. With longtubes nothing comes close. Its extremely loud but its a good loud.....there is a difference. Also with the Corsa it keeps alot of the noise out the back of the car. Just do it...you will love it.Ive had it for 3 years now with longtubes and still love it. Cars getting cammed in Feb....and Im not touching the exhaust

Theres something about the Corsa with high flow cats and an X pipe that says "refined but mean". Sounds great! Not my thing personally, I prefer unruly open header rasp but the Corsa is the perfect exhaust for the 5th Gens

I'm running the Corsa Extreme exhaust plus long tubes and no cats. Like Banana said, it's F*&KING loud. My local track has a sound limit of 105db, they clocked me at 108db.
Its not too bad putting around town, no drone on the highway, but the moment you even think about going half to full throttle, the next county will know. |
