283/30/20 instead stock 285/35/20
Just purchased a 2014 SS 1LE and it came with 2 spare 285/30/20 Goodyear Supercar 3 tires. Was wondering if I could put these on the front and run the stock 285/35 on the rear? Or should I run 285/30 square? Or get rid of these and just buy all new 285/35?
Thanks in advance for everyone's input as I am new to this forum! |

Is the 1LE lowered?? The 285/30 runs a lil more than an inch smaller diameter than the OEM 285/35. You may be fine with a square 285/30 setup but a 1" difference from a 30/35 staggered size may trigger traction control. Honestly there may be a number of people looking for those 285/30 tires since they run standard on gen 6+ Camaros. Sell and stick to the OEM 285/35R20 OR A 285/305 staggered setup if you do not plan or tracking the car.

Thanks DjBeToV! My car is not lowered. Yes I was recently reading a lot of guys are staggering the 285/35 front and 305/35 rear which has my attention. I will probably never go to the track or autocross just good old fun around town. Thanks for your input I will probable go with that staggered setup unless anyone has had problems or steering issues.
