Those are actually really nice. I’ve tried others and got a dash light turn bulb out. Guess I’ll try these next

Interesting option!
What’s your verdict on these now that you’ve had them installed for almost a year? Any issues with the resistors melting wires or the tail light assembly from heat? Did you find a good way to mount the resistor? Thanks |

I got the ones that pulsate six times after being on for 3-seconds.

I just bought and installed these. $75 from Amazon w/tax.
Worth it? Maybe. They are brighter and they don't fade in and out.

I just loosely tie wrapped the cables together, so the resistors are kind of suspended. Hopefully to prevent any heating issues, or rattling.

Did you do anything to insulate the eom socket pigtail connection ? I saw several Amazon reviews that said it shorted out due to corrosion because it was exposed.

I didn't... but now I'm thinking about it. Maybe dielectric grease...

Maybe the other reviews that said they only lasted a few weeks were also due to corrosion? I would suggest first coating them with dialetric grease, then wrap with electric tape, then coat the tape with electric spray tape.

Finally got around to doing something.
Went with dieletric grease, wrapped in silicone tape. Thought it would be messier than it is, but the tape seems to only stick to itself. I don't intentionally drive it in the rain, so we'll see how that does.
