Have you check the pressure with a gage in the block other than the dash oil pressure?
Just curious because today I noticed my aeroforce and dash gage had different readings? Not crazy different but 5 to 10 lbs at times ...

1. Installed Melling high volume oil pump 10355 https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...2/model/camaro
2. No not yet. I will check fuel pressure with a gauge but need to find and buy one first. 3. Yes, did install Trick Flow Specialties TFS-30678503 - Trick Flow® Active Fuel Management Standard Delete Kits. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/t...make/chevrolet At about 700 rpm oil pressure is 30 psi but drops to about 15 psi at 500 rpm. Will rise idle to 700 rpm to get better pressure but also since I have installed a COMP Cams MK189-301-13 - COMP Cams Stage 1 LST Master Camshaft Package that gives a instable idle below 700 rpm. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-mk189-301-13 |

Maybe just me but I would be uncomfortable unless I could verify the oil pressure is really that low at idle especially with the HV pump. I would have an uneasy feeling always and stare at it. Doesn't seem normal to me but I don't have the L99 and idling that low. It seems to recover at the higher RPM's so maybe it is ok but would be looking to verify one way or another especially if it were not like this before.

Yeah I would definitely raise the idle on it.

It's almost definitely not fine. What you should do is hook up a vacuum gauge to your intake manifold and have someone idle the engine up a little and watch the vacuum gauge and see if the vacuum goes up or not. Or if you have a scanner that will show manifold reading you can watch that as you idle the engine up. What you want is the highest manifold vacuum at idle and that's where you set your idle at. Mine was at 500 rpm when I was stock but after the cam swap the tuner set my rpm to 7-800 rpm.

I have a stock LS3 pump and when idling on a hot engine I have a much higher pressure.
