HELP NEEDED
I got a 2012 with the 3.6. Woke up one morning for work and heard it knocking/ticking. PO303 is the only code (misfire cylinder 3) changed spark plug. No result. Swapped coils. No result. Friends that know more than me think it’s top of the motor. There’s also substantial blow by coming from oil fill tube and (pcv) tube. Any ideas? Rings? Valve? Knocking will go away at idol.

What did the old plug look like?
Wet? Black? Is it actually getting spark?

Is it the RS? Do you have any way to measure oil pressure?

Then now you need to look at the injector on that cylinder. You've checked spark, now let's check fuel.

Before i went any farther i would double check just to be sure.
Fire it up, shut it off immediately and check for raw fuel on the #3 plug. If wet fuel is ok and probably a no spark condition. If dry then you might have a plugged/bad injector.

Would that cause the “knocking”?

Not having fuel in the cylinder while it is sparking

And it would blow a ton of air back thru the PCV, etc.
