Flowmaster. Go with the real deep old school muscle car sound vs. the ear pearcing raspy snap-crackle-pop sound of many others. JMO!
Check out the sound clip in my sig...

What is the Stock exhaust size? Another thing I do not wanna run into is tuning issues. Even though no one has reported where the aftermarket cat-backs threw codes and a check engine light. I like the MBRP but 3" may not come into play until the warrenty expires and when I do most of the engine upgrades then. Dammit, this sucks having to choose.

P.S. I went with a 2.5 inch custom X-pipe config with Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers and love them. Flowmaster now offers a full 3 inch catback solution using their 40 series mufflers that also sounds fantastic. Be sure to consider those as well.

Edrock, thanks. I will stay with 2.5" for now. Gonna go research Flowmasters now.

IMO you can never out grow a 3in when it comes to mods and it doesn't hurt anything other than a minimal amount of low end torque. You can very easily out grow a 2.5 system.

That's why I'd just cut in an x-pipe/muffler to replace the h-pipe and add pipes to replace the stock mufflers. Total of $300 and you can upgrade to 3" later if you need to.

My pockets aren't deep, can't void the warrenty. So I'm sticking with 2.5", once warrenty is gone. Its on like Donkey Kong.

If you go to a local muffler shop then yes your warranty on exhaust is probably renderd void. However, My GM parts guy says I can order the exhaust system thru him and let the service dept put them on and my warranty is still in tact. However, I have owned many new cars and never once did I have to go in for an exhaust issue so the exhaust warranty is not going to be something you would use anyway.

Yea, the dealership also told me that too. If they install the exhaust system I want and it will not void anything. 82.50 for labor at Jimmy Johnson Chevy. Spending money on exhaust no problem its just when something happen(s) to the enigine. That's when I don't have the uncle scrooge type cash laying around.

So if I replaced mystock pipes with a 3" system (magnaflow)would I actually be able to tell I lost some torque from driving (no dyno)? Is there alot of difference in the tone of a 2 1/2 vs a 3" (magnaflow)" |

I bought MBRP for my Duramax (this week) and prior to that had always used flowmasters and custom bent systems w/X-pipe in my other cars. I can say that MBRP was one that I was looking at for our Camaro and flowmaster the other. Having installed the system on my Duramax myself and hearing that MBRP Cool Dual systems for the Duramax was a nightmare an could be a pain to fit made me hesitant. I found a awesome deal on the exhaust ordered and from my personal experience it was very nice. From start to finish it took me a little less then 2 hours for the removal/ install and was no were close to being a pain. The instruction where a bit hard to follow an just ended up using my stock exhaust to guide me with some help from the instructions. With all that said MBRP makes some nice stuff I am looking at them in the future for exhaust on the Camaro. Between Flowmaster and MBRP I am leaning to MBRP because of the square tip and we have GFX on the car.
