No codes, but running like crap
First I thought that the car was misfiring. However, there are no CODES. I even found a plug wire that had a small cut, so I changed all the spark plugs and wires. Still the car feels like it is misfiring at all speeds and only really notice at very light throttle. I bought and installed new MAF, but still nothing. I even did a fuse pull to make sure I didnt get some bad gas. I took the throttle body off a cleaned it, was not bad as I do have a catch can and also cleaned the CAI filter. Last thing to check would be the battery. Its about 2 years old. Would a battery that is going bad cause this? Fuel pump? Filter? What am I missing?

You need to have some kind of data logging software to go with while driving. If you don't have any codes, you need to start diagnosing while driving with a logger or else you are just replacing parts for no reason

That's an issue in itself. Maybe some wiring problem, or something going on with the ECM?

Got codes today. P0172,P0175 and P0336,P0335. Any help would be appreciated. Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor going bad. Just a update from above. Battery checked out good. Stopped to get gas and would not start, but when it finally started the stabilitrac light came on and no tach, no rpm readings now.

Changed out my O2 sensors and so far there is no hesitation or misfire. However, its cooler today as Hurricane Nicole is passing over. I went for a spirited drive, but it was raining so nothing crazy. I double checked the starter and the heat wrap is good, I inspected the wiring to the crank sensor and it looked good. Question. A misfire would make the car, specifically the longtube headers run hotter, right? I do have an extra ground running on the driver side head to the chassis. Still thinking that I should move it from there and go directly from the starter to the chassis. Possibly even bypassing the power distribution post essentially splicing the two power cables together. Anyone ?have an idea of what kind of connector I could use.

Problem returned so I went ahead and changed the crank position sensor, checked the wiring around starter wrap and the wiring to the crank position sensor. Everything checked out. The car still has light throttle stumble or misfire. However I have not duplicated the codes from above post.
