Zeroing out the slip tables in the transmission tune helps with the shudder, and this is probably why.

Well, I am neither a mechanic nor a gm employee, my only response would be to try a revised stock or even a different aftermarket torque converter on his own dime, which I'm not going to suggest to anyone. Sad situation indeed.

A8 TC Shudder Fix!!!
I wanted to update everyone on the status of my shudder. I have a 2017 Camaro that had significant shuddering. I had the triple flush - that helped for a while, then came back. I had a new TC installed that helped for a little while and then it came back.
THE FIX I installed a range tech AFM disabler and that fixed it almost completely. No one else could notice the shudder anymore but since I knew the feel of the car I could tell there was a hint of shuddering under certain conditions. One day I tried premium gas and to my surprise the combination of the range tech and premium completely got rid of the shudder. I have been driving it without shudder for almost a year now. The range tech and premium gas is what fixed it for me. Very happy I did not sell the Camaro. |
