2010 SS shutter under hard acceleration
Hello all, I have a 2010 Camaro SS Manual. Stockish except for a cat back exhaust. I have noticed that during hard acceleration in 1st gear from like 3500-4000 rpms the car seems to have a shutter from under the center console. After about 4000rpms it goes away and doesn't come back. Every other gear is fine even under hard acceleration. Any thoughts? Changing the trans fluid tonight to see if that changes anything.
Thanks! |

Never even thought of that. Any way I can test that easily? I changed the fluids but haven't had the chance to get after it to see if it still does it.

If you want to test the traction control easily, just turn it off and punch it to see if the shudder still exists.

If it's Traction Control the light blinks on when it activates.

Loose driveshaft and or bad rubber coupler.

Just an update, driveshaft couplers-carrier bearing were found to be good. Transmission mount was loose/sloppy causing the transmission to rotate and connect with the tunnel. Causing the vibrations. Luckily for me it was a 30 dollar rubber mount.

Unfortunately I was too quick to accept success. Apparently I didn't go hard enough on the throttle when I tested it after the transmission mount. Because the shutter is still there. I have noticed a few other little things though. If you put it in competition mode and launch the car, it has no shutter and pulls great throughout the rpms. But if I roll on the throttle hard (up an onramp) it will shutter right under the center console for maybe 1-2 seconds then smooth out and run fine up to 100+ mph without issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
