Clutch Pedal Stop (Oct '23)
There’s dead space with the clutch pedal and I liked the idea of removing most of it, so I purchased a clutch pedal stop. I was also interested in messing around with some self-tuning with my cars, so I purchased an HP Tuners handheld. This allowed me to disable the clutch pedal sensor, so that the clutch didn’t need to be all the way down to start. In a little while, I will use the tuner to train the pedal to the new spot and turn back on this safety feature.
The pedal stop itself is easy to attach to the pedal - however, getting the right adjustment wasn’t easy. I moved it around, but the default size is too large - so the large bolt needs to be shortened. The problem is that even though it is “adjustable”, the manufacturer didn’t cut grooves into the plastic for the large thread. As a result, you have to brute force turning the bolt and dig in the grooves yourself. End result, I LOVE this mod. When I’m driving around, shifting feels so much quicker.
