Here is a socket. Rock auto only showing used.
If the dealer can't get it may have to go used on the wiring too. |

Try visiting your local junkyards if there are any. I'm sure that socket is shared among several other GM vehicles. It's just a socket for a 194 bulb. I think my old Saturn used the same socket.

Ever try getting that bitch out? What a hassle. I took it to a local mechanic and he did it for practically nothing. A dealer wanted $150. The instructions say to remove the front tire the lining and you should be able to stick your hand in there. Some of us with big hands have to remove the bumper assembly to get at it. I was able to get it out and change out the bulb, but I could never get it back in the plastic socket holder so I put everything else back together and drove it like that. It's good now.

I think what the OP is saying is that his Side markers do not have power. I have an early 2011 2SS that also has no wiring to the side markers. This past weekend I confirmed this when I had the front bumper off to mount a fog light bar under the grill.
As I understand it he is asking if there is an easy way to harness this into his current lighting scheme. I have the same question. What do know is that you can but the wiring harness that does have the side marker harness built in. There are OEM and after market. The PITA part is that you do have tp pull the bumper t swap this out. The other option is to buy a GM light pig tail for about $10. Connect this to the LED wiring and then wire it to anything with power like the running our head lights. I guress where my question come in is, if I am going to run with the pig tail can I just run the power to the turn signal and have it light up and blink? |
