Picking tires for Apex 19x10.5 and 19x11 wheels
I ordered Apex arc-8 wheels over cyber Monday 19x10.5 et22 for the front and 19x11 et43 for the rear. I have a 2010 camaro 2ss.
Trying to figure out the best tire size for my use case. I also want to make sure the tires look similar in the front and the back and don’t appear to have any stretch. This is my daily driver and living in New York will see some potholes. I plan to take it to the track on occasion as well. A few of the combinations I’ve heard of are: 1. 285/35r19 and 295/35r19 2. 295/35r19 and 305/35r19 3. 295/30r19 and 305/30r19 Also feel free to drop your own suggestions. Thanks! |

Well I don't have 19's on my Camaro, but I do have 10.5 inch wide deep concave wheels on the front and am running 285/35's on them, offset is +28, did have 10 inch wide ones on there before with a +23 offset with same tires, no issues, also on the rear I have 11.5 inch wide deep concave with a 335/30 tire, +30 offset, did have 11 inch wide before with a +43 offset with same tires, no issues..

Option 1 or 2 are better choices. You want the taller sidewall of the 35 series vs the 30 for potholes and such. Find a good tire for daily use. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4s or the Continental Extremecontact Sport will be your best options. Both will handle the daily use and a track day here and there.

I think I ruled out option 1 because in the pictures I found the 295/35r19 on a 19x11 wheel looks stretched.
There are also very few options of tires for 305/35r19. If I go with option 3 I was thinking of getting Michelin PS4S and they are on discount for $1480 before tax. If I go with option 2 I was looking at the Michelin PSS for $1460 before tax. I know the 4S is a better tire all around so I am leaning towards option 3 as of now. A little affraid of the wheel gap that'll come with it though. The sales are until the end of the day so I'll have to make my decision soon. |

Ended up getting Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. 295/30r19 in the front and 305/30r19 in the back.

Are you stock height or lowered? I've got long tubes and I've heard of issues with them scrapping on 19s. Any more pics of the car? |

Looks awesome, man! I've been chomping at the bit for some 19s in hopes to use them for double duty (track and daily driving) but my exhaust hangs low and I don't want to make the switch then be dragging pipes all over the place. Ugh... the struggle is real. LOL

Appreciate it! I have a friend with the same wheel setup but on coil overs and a half inch larger wheel gap but a low hanging exhaust I think Corsa but could be Borla. I see sparks a lot when driving behind him. I have a muffler delete on a stock exhaust so I don't have that issue.

Did you have to run spacers on the front wheels?
