Trans cooler fan wiring
I'm hooking up a stack plate trans cooler with a fan. I wired it to the main engine fan so it comes on with the fan setting in the tune. That's usually around 180ish degrees. Its a small fan. 6 inch diameter and doesn't pull that much power. Thoughts on this? Yay or Neigh?

Are you asking about the electrical aspect or the cooling aspect?

I would put in a relay triggered by the main coolant fan voltage vs just pulling current directly from the main fan wiring.

Agreed, ALWAYS run a load like a fan through a relay with a fused 12v source. Relays are your best friend when adding accessories.

My fan plug burned with just the stock fans running on it. I would definitely just tap into the fan feed as trigger for an additional relay with a separate power source.
