What are they using for cable, string??
Well my 2015 has done a whopping 5k in total and its looked after though it lives outside, the first drivers door window regulator cable snapped about a year and a half ago, cable rusted through.
On Sunday it snapped again, almost the same place rusted through. You can't tell me they don't sell these cars in places that don't have worse weather than Manchester? Yes we have a lot of rain but i greased the last one all over and yet its still gone again. While i appreciate its still cheaper to buy and import one than it is to go up the road and buy a Renault Clio unit, it's still bloody expensive if they only last a short while. |

Well its happened again on the drivers door, 2 years later on, inc the original this is the 3rd f-ing one. Plus one on the passenger side.
I'm going to have to rig something up because this one went in a different place and at £300 a go its not funny. Last time i even took the motor out and used ptfe grease to fill the coil of wire with grease and then coat the rest of it, i'm fed up of taking the door panel on and off. Its only got 7k on the clock and i'm loathe to get rid of it because of this. :( Last edited by Gordo-D; 04-28-2024 at 03:20 AM. |
