L99 Muffler

I have a ‘12 SS L99 that i put different mufflers on and now have drone at about 1700 rpm. I was suggested magnaflow 3” 12249. My question is, will i have any fitment issues?

Buy this Range AFM delete module.

It will really cut down on the drone, as well as eliminate any DOD lifter issues.

Most any aftermarket muffler on a L99 car, will have drone issues.

I always thought drone came with the territory. Ever drive a 70 Chevelle or other era muscle car with Thrush or Cherry Bombs? It drowned out your girlfriend. This was a good thing. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Just drive faster... in my built g8 gt I had bullet mufflers, and that droned like crazy. I didn't mind it, but my passengers did. I just put it in manual mode to raise the rpm OR drive faster to raise the rpm.

The Solo exhaust with J-pipes is the answer. My Camaro has headers, no mufflers, only the original resonator with the Solo stainless steel axle back exhaust with J-pipes. It is quiet inside the car with no drone. It does get loud when you slam the throttle open. The exhaust tips look great too.
