Bang Shift Billy - Clutch Slipper

Just want to start a thread for anyone with a BSB clutch slipper to discuses installation and tuning of the system. I myself have one installed on my 14 zl1 and am still dialing it in. I currently have it activating at the same time as my 2-step. 2 step is set at 2200rpm.

Here is my current settings in the app.

Delay - 0.010 (Bite Point - distance the pedal travels before it starts to slip)
Launch Slip - 0.05 (Time of holds at bite point before ramp down)
Ramp - 0.0375 (Time of ramp down of pedal release)

The best 60' I cut was 1.67 seconds so far.

Here is a link to the Set up video for the BSB

Are you using the lingenfelter Ctap as well? I have it installed as well, with the ctap, and I made a bazillion passes yesterday and just could not get it dialed in. I am glad to see you post this today though. If you're using the ctap, what percentage do you have it set at for pedal travel?

Subbed for this as we will be installing one on my Single Turbo Car. This product should be able to really make a difference from what I have seen, and data gathered.

I've been thinking about putting one in. The mfg said it only slips in first gear, but I've been wondering how it knows what gear your in so it does not slip every time you shift.

You can wire it to a master switch button, so with the clutch pressed at the line, you then press the master button and that will engage the system. Then it will not re activate until both clutch and button are pressed.

I have it set to a momentary button and clutch switch. Both need to be pressed to arm the BSB. I actually have my momentary switch set to arm my LPE 2 step and BSB at the same time so when i release the button it drops the 2 step and BSB at the same time.

Thank you. I actually set mine to 90% near the end of the Test and Tune but the lowest I went with my delay was .025. Guess I need to go much lower. I was at .010 but the ctap was at like 55%.

I dabbled with the BSB early on, with the CTAP and also installed a timer circuit to act as the Master Arm Switch (2 second delay) - triggered by releasing my anti-roll (linelock) button when I has holding at the starting line. The early BSB had EFI issues but Billy came out with a fix and revised (updated) version. Never got it reinstalled. Must be working fine now, I presume. Anyway, I used a timer circuit for the Master Arm to just have the Control Module energized during launch and not the rest of the run down the strip. I never really got things dialed in as I was changing too many things on the car all the time. I hoped to get into the 1.5's for 60ft, which I did on my own one fine day.

Biggest issue i have right now is I'm building 8#s of boost at 2200 RPM on the 2 step and i either smoke the clutch or smoke the tires.

That's not many RPMs to build much boost. How much timing are you pulling for the 2-step?

I’m not sure. I better check.

What did you use for the timer circuit? I already have a line lock button on the shifter and really don't want to put a button on the steering wheel like a trans brake. I tried using a Hella delay relay to keep the two step from pulling timing except on the line, but they would work at first and then fail within a week or two (by fail I mean they would stop delaying anything and just act like a relay).
