SS Wheels

Hi,
Looking for a spare for my 2013 2SS:
Question will a front 20x8 fit on the rear also??
I know rears are 20x9 with the bigger brakes!
Just wondering, thanks

Yes the front tire will fit in the back.

If later you want to replace the rims and buy new ones, it's common to buy a squared setup by changing the fronts to the same size as the rears.

there is a VERY easy way for you to absolutely verify the information. take one of YOUR fronts and swap it onto the rear of YOUT car. to test fit them.

I know for sure that rears fit on the front, as I bought a second set of rears and ran the 20x9 with 275's on all 4 corners for years.

The rear wheel is bigger, but the rear brake is smaller

I used an extra front wheel as a spare when on long road trips on my '10 SS.
I tied it down with the 2 eyelets on the rear body panel.

Modernspare.com. I have one in my Z. Fits in 5th Gen battery "well". They have a spacer to clear big brakes.

Hi

Hi,
Figured it out it is:
GM C/N 22798740 20x10 ZL1 Front Rim.
Only want to use as spare if needed wondering if it
will fit in front of my 2013 2SS, I guess if it fits the
ZL1 it should fit mine too, but not sure,
Ken

Nope, it was posted in this forum already and I just copied the link. Guess the search feature didn’t help much this time.

If you want a little bit of a project, I have a full set of SS wheels, all 4 of them are 20x9 (so 4 rears). I used them as winter wheels for a few seasons, but now my Camaro is garaged and I don't need them. They could honestly use a refinishing, but if you really wanted to you can probably find a local shop to take the wheels off and refinish them however you want and you'd have a nice full set of 20x9. Can run a square 275 set up and be able to rotate wheels + have your stock set as a full set of spares too.

If you want to take a trip down to southeast PA, I can give you them for cheap.
