Automatic shifter

Has anyone tried one of these shifters? Obviously not a Hurst but also not 300 dollars.

Well that's pretty cool looking! But I'm assuming it is all plastic? It doesn't say. Don't know if it would stand the test of time and constant handling.. I have the Hurst one, and it is bullet proof and solid!!

I too have the Hurst shifter and love it, very well made.
If you can buy used (DirtyDirt) and save some $$$ that would be a great buy. JMO

It looks like a nice part visually. But for me, the feel is what is important for a shifter, obviously less so for an automatic trans, but still important. I am not sure how good a hollow plastic shifter handle will feel to the touch, especially if it has no added weight to it. Once again, I know that isn't as much a factor for an automatic shifter, but weight and feel really do come into play in this. You want that beefy heft when grabbing your shifter in a Camaro. That could just be my opinion though. This part might feel perfect.

A few years back I converted my auto shifter to the manual leather boot and a custom made carbon fiber round knob, similar in size to a queue ball. I do love the way it looks, but sometimes it feels a little disingenuous as it looks like a manual at first glance, and that was never really my intention. I really just wanted to get rid of that plastic auto shifter assembly and clean things up. I can assure you that if that Hurst kit with the black bezel was still being made I would have that installed, as I think it looks amazing. Just not $1000+ amazing.

I love my T bar style shifter. Feels good in the hand and a nice, thick metal part.

I do like that style a lot had one years ago.

What brand is that one?

I when with the Hurst unit just to clean-up the console a bit and to see the gauge cluster better. Now I have that info on my head-unit in color.

It’s a Hurst piece. B&M also makes a similar one.

I used to put them on almost everything I owned. I really love that style of shifter.

Hey DirtyDirt, I sent a PM this morning in regard to that. If the OP doesn't claim it, I'd like a crack at it.

Thanks brother. Car is coming along great (minus the unexpected blow up). 1000-ish wheel is sooooo much fun, even on the street. I really need to get it to the track. Should be a solid 9 second car.
