myplates.com is up and running!

The site is up. Cool plates but I had no idea how expensive these plates were
I now need to decide on what I want to do.

ENJOY

Unfortunately, they don't allow for 7 characters yet....nor will they allow you to do 6 characters with two spaces like I have on my plate. Otherwise, I'd get a different set...already have it picked out.'

Thanks for the link, though! VERY cool!

Dang those are expensive!

Nice...but $195 a year...$495 for 5 years or $595 for 10 years! Sure the 10 year one works out to $60 or so but up front they want the money!

Hmmm....have think about this one!

WHAT?!?! I pay $60 a year for my personalized plates. Are you saying it's going to go up to $400 or so when I re-order???

when I ordered my first set of personalized plates a few years ago, myplates was still in business and ws an OPTION, OR you could just get the standard plate that was available (texas). IF the fee for my plates, no matter what, goes up to that. both of my cars, which sport custom plates, will go back to STD plates.

I just had to call, the phone number is 1-888-769-7528, got the info straight from the horses mouth.

the annual fee will depend of which plate you order. they could be as little as $55/yr. its all up to the design you chose. IF you have a plate right now, you will only pay the state its normal fee of $40/yr. The new rates only apply to the new plates that THEY are making.

well one of the "economy" plates, which are the cheapest, you can get any of these colored plates. So if you have a IOM car, get an ORANGE plate, or a BALCK plate, or BLUE....so you could get a plate that matches the color of your car. here are the plates and styles available.
