Camaro Mule
Found this on GM Inside News via Jalopnik. I don't see it posted here. Anyway, this may be the Camaro test chassis down under.

Very nice find...And, Yep! That's it, I would bet my life on it. They're testing the wheel size or something on this one, because look at this picture and look at the second one on the hyperlink, the wheels are much bigger on this one...Camaro is sheep's clothing!
Differences in the two pictures to look for: Top of hood to top of front wheel-well, Length between gas cap and top of rear wheel well, Overall size difference in wheels, And the fact that you've got an ugly-ass Commodore on a trailer...

That would be amazing. I'd decline, though, on account that I might piss my pants of joy while in the car...

I'd be all over it! Are you kidding?!?! I'd drive myself crazy, though. Here you are driving a Camaro in disguise and no one knows...nor can anyone know. That would be hell. I'd want to scream it to the world. In fact, I'd probably take all my buds for a test drive around the loop. Hehe...by the way, that was a Camaro you just took a ride in....

I know, think in terms of ideal time tables...
Camaro wants to be released in Sept 08, right... now til beginning/early next year(only about a year's time) --- Camaro must have all of it's options and engines chosen, all of it's insides designed Then til Mid/late 08 --- Camaro factorys must be rifit to the specs decided in the previous table Mid/late 08 --- Camaro's must be produced so they can be put onto lots by September!!! It's really almost here,Really!! |

if you ask me, i think that looks like a test model for an upcoming pontiac coupe, maybe something like a gto or something else they have in mind, but it might as well be a test model for the camaro. And i say this because if you look close you can tell there is no real rear door on the car, and the green house is completely different from the camaros.

The body doesn't have to match though, it's just to test the mechanics/guts of the chassis.
Really there's no way of knowing, but it's fun to imagine it is the mule. |

it was confirmed as the mule for the new zeta 2 door coupe chasis setup ( ie camaro among other gm future projects)...
The back door is actualy bolted shut due to the shortening of the chasis (the body is acutaly a monaro(4door) in australia) gotta go find the posts now.. was one of the other sites.. camaroz28.com i think.. give me a few hours |

Hey, here's a thought...I'm surprised GM, didn't use an import body, You'd think they'd have fun ripping a Toyota's insides out, and then desecrating it by making it ride on the next best chassis since the F-body... AND, it would completely draw attention away from the fact that it might be a Zeta test mule... |
