It's dissapointing that we can only see the uncorrected dyno graphs which can often be misleading in both positive and negative ways. Let's see some corrected graphs please!

Well... I'm not worried about it being uncorrected since both runs were uncorrected and looks like the weather was fairly close... Since I'm not worried about absolute numbers, it doesn't matter... dyno shows some nice gains especially in the torque improvement across the entire RPM range... That what you need to look at...

It seems like different cars have different speed limiter values based on the equipment they came with - someone on this thread earlier said they hit their limiter at 118 MPH but our test car would go to at least 150 MPH on the dyno (we didn't hit the limiter at all)...

If it was an RS v6, it's limited, like the SS cars, to 155mph. My car has seen the limiter on the dyno.

I saw someone mentioned premium fuel. Is that a necessity/strongly recommended with this tune? Regular gas is one of the reasons I wanted the LLT. Any idea what this tune will do to overall mpg's yet?
would lik eot know this as well. Do you have to put premium in it to get the good gains?

I believe the car had 3/4 of a tank with 87 and then was topped off with 92. At that mixture you would be lucky to see anymore than 89 octane. I would have to assume that if the car was full of 91 or 93 the gains would have been larger.

I have no problem running 91.

We do have 93 here also... perhaps a 91 and a 93 tune... sometime 93 can be hard to come by...

Definitely want a 93 tune if there's significant gains and would the tune/engine adapt in case of an 87 fill?

Tuners don't care about absolute numbers, either. Only relative changes.

I'll see if I can get corrected charts, though.

How about an octane-selectable tune? On the turbo Cobalts we have it set up so you can switch between the "stock" and "custom" tunes - two distinct tune profiles using either the cruise control master enable switch, or the traction control mode...

Maybe "normal" traction control mode = 87 octane mode
"Competition" traction control mode = 92 octane mode

;-)

So many possibilities, such little time.

Yes it would. At the end, we'll tune your car for whatever fuel is in it when you generate the logs. If you have to run lower octane fuel, the ECM is designed to adapt.

As long as I can go completely back to "stock" settings as you said before that would make me happy! Then, when I'm back from a dealership visit...I can throw the tune back on.

That makes me wonder then...for us Auto drivers will your tune change settings and shift points for both the regular and sport modes? As stated before...I'm happy with where the current shift points are...but I guess if they were firmed up a bit that wouldn't be too bad now would it! Even better (in my opinion) would be possibly firming up the "sport" mode shifts a bit...while the regular could be left alone. Hrrmmm...just thinking out loud I guess lol.

Could it be done that if your in "sport" with traction control off then you would be using the more aggressive tune? lol

I guess maybe there are lots of possibilities!

I'm guessing it works off the front wheels (not moving on the dyno) via the sensor in the wheel. Probably works off the sensor ID. The dealer can recal them for different tire setups and, I would imagine, de-activate the system for wheels that don't incorporate the sensors.

There is a "re-cal" function available in the onboard system through the dash monitor though I'm not sure if it can read new wheel sensors or just "refresh" the pressure reading.
