Be careful with axle angles... the CVs do not like too much . That is why Porsche started flipping the gear boxes upside down in cars to take those angles out and make life easier on the CVs and eventually went to a ti axle with a guibo. Using Krytox for your CV grease will help .

Using a quality CV , not just the stock Porsche turbo CV , makes a huge difference. If you are just a 1/4 mile guy you are probably OK but for people like myself who road race this could be a problem.

Great work guys. Clean looking welds too. You know the welding inspector in me has to give credit when it’s deserved!

Yeah tlc will be moving by sometime after the holidays. Sure I’ll make sure he shares the beer, lol!

I don’t know what I will do with all of the horsepower but I know of an annoying mustang GT running around where I live that needs to have an attitude adjusting. I guess he will be the first victim.

Interesting picture regarding the header and Turbo kit. Personally, I think the closer the turbos are to the released energy from the engine, the better response you get. See how BMW, Porsche try to have their turbos right at the manifold.
Now my question about these headers is, are you going to bring the headers UP into engine bay and merge them to the turbo, or are you still going under the car and then merge them and connect to the turbo via the lengthier route?

ChevyThunder,

I’ve kind of been thinking about the possible disadvantage with using just stock Porsche turbo CV’s. My diving habits sometimes include the occasional road race. Do you have any suggestions on the right CV to accommodate the horse power and lowered stance I’m at?

Just so you know our axles are made with our purpose built parts, they are not stock pieces. We also supply axles to alot of roadrace guys and have a special roadrace axle that still works fine as a daily driver. The reason the cv came to be is becase it can take a much more severe angle than the u joint type axle found in the older corvettes, unless you plan on dropping your camaro on air bags and trying to put down 1000rwhp at the same time you will not have a problem with the Hendrix-Engineering axles

More pictures of the turbo install

I went by the shop and took a few more pictures. I posted them for everyone to see. I also put in the order for the Hendrix Engineering axels for the car as well. It should be on the dyno next week so we will see what numbers it can produce...
