I found this Mustang catalog laying around in a shop and I took it. Back home when I was reading through it. It said, "The Mustang has contributed to the demise of the Firebird." Me owning a Firebird took this very personal. Guess what I did? I burned that catalog and threw the ash in the woods, hoping no one would ever read that B.S. again. Just thought I would tell you one of my stories and it is all true.

the funny thing is, you notice how few of them there are for Chevy/camaro? and how most of them are the same? its cus you cant find problems with Chevy/Camaros (and cus ford owners are stupid and couldnt create an acronym from Chevrolet...)

I look at the Mustang this way;
If it weren't for the Mustang, who would we abuse?! Seriously, I'm glad the Mustang is still around and creates this rivalry. IMO, there's nothing like a good rivalry.

Camaro lovers: like to sit directly on the floorpan of a car. (knees are not bent while driving)
mustang lover = likes sitting in an actual seat and also likes a suspension that will move more than 1/2 inch up and down no one will admit this is the reason mustang outsold F-bodies. F-body vehicles (though great for a race track), are not fun to sit in for a long time, or to ride on any pavement that is not as smooth as glass. not a flame thread, just a fact. |

The same cannot be said for my sister's Mustang. It's a 'vert, and it feels so "loose" and shimmies so bad over any road imperfection, that I personally would not want to ride in it for any length of time. As we're all well aware of though, Camaro owners will defend the Camaro, and Mustang owners will defend the Mustang. Neither vehicle is perfect.I will disagree with your comment that "seating" was the reason for the Mustang out selling the Camaro. There were many more factors involved, and "seating" wasn't one of the major factors. Again, my purpose is not to start an argument. Just trying to clarify a few things.

I actually love the fact that my seats are so flat and low... I think it makes it more comfortable!

I've drove a 2003 mustang before and a 4 hour trip in that mustang was worse than driving a 7 hour trip in my Camaro. I also drove a 2006 mustang and it was a lot better than the 03 but not quite as good as my Camaro. |
