Well skyman, at least we can agree on the heritage grill

Mine should go on the car this weekend. When I was considering the car, the stock grill almost turned me off enough to kill the deal. A new grill was the first thing I started searching for.

I think it will look good on my CGM, but it looks its best on a colored car (painted to match) like your yellow.

Some of the aftermarket wire grilles looks like you went to Wal-Marts and swiped a bunch of grilles from the BBQs in the lawn garden section, took them home and cut them up with side cutters and slapped them on the front of your Camaro. At the prices they charge for these wire grille overlays, it just doesnt look right.

Ati2de your car looks sick. You should tint your fog lights for a little more contrast.

On to the thread topic though. At first glance, I loved the heritage grill, and almost ordered one. But the more I saw it the less I liked it. I feel it takes away from the aggressiveness of the Camaro.

I love the T-Rex Phantom Grille, just not the lower part. Looks like it sticks out from the vehicle.

I'm going to hold out on a grill until someone comes out with some hide-a-ways, lol. Crossing my fingers that that will happen. Me and my buddy may have to make it ourselves.

I'm also on the fence about the HG. I like the agressive look of the stock but the HG has a claener more sofisticated look to it, it's all personnal preference! I saw this one on a thread from ZZcamaro but he hasn't answered my PM or the thread. I'm holding out for this or something similar. I love the black mesh!

I'm holding out for a Z28, but if I got an SS instead, I'd seriously consider a grille like this over the stock one. It's very clean but still aggressive IMO. The horizontal bar that runs in the middle of the grille also helps give the front of the car an even more wide looking appearance, which looks bad a$$.

The heritage grille does look nice, but it not for me as I think it tones the aggressive look down of the Camaro.

Obviously I dont own a Camaro..but that being said..

I've seen a fairly good amount of Camaro's in my area (around 10-15) and all of them either have the stock grill or the billet grill.

One of my local Chevy dealers has a 2SS with the Heritage Grill and I absolutely love it. Really changes the feel of the entire front end of the car, much more retro look.

Of course..I'm all about retro..hence getting the Challenger.

I have gone back and forth 10 times. I agree it makes it look more Retro, especially with the Old 69 SS emblems installed in place of the Bowtie. I will decide one day.

Fully painted H-grilles look great...especially on a black camaro..I had to change out the lower grille though, it didn't look right...now its done and I'm fully satisfied
