Removing Dipstick Tube

After removing the bolt from the bracket secured to the block, do I just pull out the tube or is there another connection point?? Or is it just held in with an o-ring down below??

dont pull it yet !!! .... without looking to see where it comes from.

I spent 15-20 minutes trying to find the little hole that it goes back into. re-installing the dipstick was the single hardest part about installing the ARH LT header system.

.... in case I am too late.... and you are now frustrated....

It is hidden behind the starter and a heat shield

3) The oil dipstick is indeed tricky... that was an understatement. The correct way to do it is to have one person over the engine that unbolts it, and barely loosens it. Another person should be under the car to see where the dipstick comes from. I took this out from the top, and later couldnt find the inlet..... finally found it 15 minutes later.... it was hidden behind the starter and a heat sheild.

4) Grind ~.050" from the bottom side of the dipstick mounting bracket... the new ARH flanges are a little bigger than the stock flanges... and the dipstick mount wont quite fit to its original mounting place.

.....

Checking my oil I noticed the dam oil dip stick takes more turns going down into the block than the autobahn can throw at you.

probably the hardest dipstick I have every worked with.

I must say I have to agree with you on that. Hardest dipstick I have ever had to put back.
