Sold ordrs available in Canada on the 16.
Mr. Williams:
Thank you for your email. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to announce that GM Canada will start accepting bona fide sold customer orders for the 2010 Model Year Camaro Coupe on Thursday, October 16, 2008. In order to provide accurate information, we suggest you speak with the sales department, specifically the Sales Manager, of your local GM Chevrolet dealership. Your interest in our company is very much appreciated, and we thank you for contacting General Motors of Canada Limited. Please visit our website again! Shirley Power Internet Correspondent www.gm.ca Just got this back from GM Canada confirming that yes the Camaro will be available for sold orders, I noticed a lot of confusion in regards to what the deal was for Canada and thought I'd get the answer from the horses mouth. |

That's cool but most dealers will be clueless for quite some time.
Haven't seen anything on official Canadian pricing. I figure a loaded SS/RS with all taxes paid is going to be very close to 50 large. |

If that's the case and I know it won't be (pessimist) then I'll buy a Challenger RT for about 40000 loaded.

We'll see. I don't know where you live but once you add gst & pst where I live (BC) I bet I'm not far off.
I did say loaded (every option) don't forget. |

I say 42 - 45K. If you can get a loaded V8 G8 for 40K, I doubt they would charge 10 grand more for the same Camaro.

Well I guess I must concede if you include the Vert. But I'll bet by the time the 2010 models come out the prices will be closer between the US and Canada. Besides if the provincial tax is really that bad shop in Alberta I know people from around here who do that, and I'm from Victoria.

Ok, start adding up non believers.
34180+665+500+1200+60+75+395+900+470= $US38445 +20 percent conversion = C$46134 + %12 gst&pst = $51670.00 Easily 50 large, not even talking about the vert. Even if they don't ding us a full %20 it will be right around 50k all in. Quote:

Canadian dollar at 1.1944 as I type this.
Looks like GM Canada is going to be justified for adding the %20 and we won't save anything going to the US. Maybe they'll add on even more now? |

And i guesstimated for my fully loaded Vert 2SS would be around the $52 mark before tax.

I think V6 will start at 27K, V8 will start at 37K and fully loaded V8 will be 45K before taxes. Anymore and they are smoking the drapes. V8 G8 starts at 36K so how can they justify the premium over that car?
