To Sound deadener and Install questions.

Hey guys just trying to figure out how big of a difference you all think it will make with the install I plan on doing next week if everything i ordered from ******** shows up.

What i will Be installing is 2 12" Kicker L7's
and a 1500watt kicker amp.

and if i can find a place to mount it i do have a 2nd kenetic battery. Or do you think i should just skip the battery for now.

i have never used any type of sound deadener so, im looking for opinions on how big of a difference it will make?

Well man first 1500 on 2 L7 isnt really enough power on them you really need the 2500 if you are wanting to stick with the 1500 then go with the L5 they will be louder then the L7 on that amp.

I would go with either a bigger battery or 2 depending on how much you want to beat the system.

As far as matting goes I would do it after you get the system done so you know where the rattles are coming from and you can then have a better idea on where to put the matting.

hmm. i figured the subs would be fine since they both run at 750 watts rms. and the kicker amp i though runs at an rms of 1500. maybe ill have to look at a different amp.

This is the same system i was running in my S10. that visions put in as an insurance claim.

Edit im using this amp

Kicker zx1500.1 Class D running them at 2 ohms

As far as deadeners, this makes a huge difference. I lined my trunk with fatmat megamat and the change was great! Also made a difference with the slight drone from my solo exhaust at around 2k RPM. One of the best mods for the money!

How much fatmat megamat did you buy to line the trunk? I was thinking of going with this as well.

Definitely do the deadener, you'll need it!

As far as that amp with those subs, it's perfect. The L7s can take a beating, but it isn't needed to throw 1kwrms at each one of them to really get them moving. You won't have much trunk left if you go ported, but man, will it be loud, lol.

I went with the 25Sqft package, it was just enough to line the bottom and the back side panels. I had 2 little swatches left over. Take your time when installing to get maximum coverage.
