Mcleod RXT clutch review

At first is was grabby and I had issues with it chattering during initial launch. I've got about 400 miles on it now and it seems to be much smoother. I really like it, my wife has no issues with the clutch as its about 1/2 the pressure of the stock to apply. I ran it hard for the first time yesterday and it really impressed me. The break-in was both my clutch and the 4:10 gears. I can't say enough about the two combo (gears and clutch)!!

It looks to me like we are in the same league......... Did you set up your meth. system as a safety buffer or did you modify you air fuel mixture for the meth. system? HP/torque numbers?

Mines being setup in another week, so i will have a dyno pull/tune soon. I got on the dyno with just the maggie supercharger/3.6 pulley and no supporting mods and hit 487whp 484tq on a hot day. We was getting some belt slipping for some reason and alot of heatsoak between runs Next dyno I will have the coolingmist kit to help with the heat soak, kook 1 7/8 headers, adm intake, 3.4 sc pulley with a better belt, and a kenne bell pump. Hoping to hit around 575. We seemed to be bottlenecked pretty bad without the supporting mods on the first run, so she should be breathing pretty good now.

As for the meth, we are going to play around with it a bit and see what its worth. My tuner is all about safety first since this is my daily driver, so we plan to set it up smart. I know he tunes for the meth in his daily driver and he sets the tune up to pull timing incase the failsafe ever failed on him.

Did you use your meth kit as a fuel addictive to bypass needing a pump? I picked one up just incase we need it while tuning, since i wasnt sure i should try to stretch the meth that far.

PDT (performance Dyno tune) is all about safety as well. My ride is a daily driver and I chose to tune on the safe side. I can run with or without meth. with the tune at this point. You will see a very good improvement on your pulls using meth. The heat soak at the end of the pull will go away. I thought I was getting belt slippage too, at around 4500 rpm during the pull I got a significant oscllation, It would be small on the first run (cool) and get larger during the next few runs. We were waiting about an hr. between runs and spraying the intercooler with water. After the meth. was introduced the runs were almost perfect. Not much gain in HP but nice smooth runs. We could run one pull after another with only a couple hp difference between pulls. I posted my dyno sheet on my first posting, check it out....

awesome, good to hear it helped you out a bit. Did you have to run a boost a pump for the fuel issue with that much power or are you just running the meth? Also did you mount the meth tank in the trunk or are you using a bottle under the hood?

I bought a pre-fab tank from Howerton Engineering (www.howertonengineering.com). Looks and works great. They have several systems to look at. Not bad pricing either..........

Just running meth. no pump added.....
