Will I be disappointed....

Ok, I think its safe to say that I have been researching this car forever... and seen many many many many things on this forum that are just amazing...

But I wont be purchasing until After I graduate... Now I know that my "opinion" isnt as valid as a current owner, but when you get it, is the only thing you get with it a permagrin?

I was just curious, as if I would be disappointed once I get it....

Currently looking for the job that will pay the bills.....

Also, a big THANK YOU to the guys in here with all the tips.... one message to camaroSCOTTY gave me a big when he replied with the prices he had....

I look forward to reading more threads, and I must say, everyone here has a sexy car (with the exception of the few mustang owners... im very biased, gm for life.....)

Not at all, I looked and looked and looked and read and read and read before I bought mine.

Now I have to remind myself that I need to get out of it from time to time . 3,500 miles in 2 and a half months, she's worth it .

Keep in mind that many of us here waited for months before our cars arrived to us. I can surely say that most of us here still get excited to drive our rides. The car is just amazing and powerful!

Good luck on your job hunt, hopefully it's not too long before you we see a pic of you in your new car!

If you are disappointed in a Camaro, it will probably be when it is stored for the winter. I am a Ford guy, but I can give the devil his due. The Camaro is a great car for the price, and can't be beat by any of the foriegn competition. The Mustang/Camaro fight basically comes down to brand preference. Challengers are great, but almost in a different category due to price. After awhile, whatever you get will start to seem, well just not top notch, and that is when you learn about the wonderfull world of MODDING.

I feel the same way in that I have to test drive one to see if its powerful enough and handles well enough. Thing is I bet I'm gonna buy one when I do...and I'm reall set on a vette.

You'll be happy. I was on the fence for a while but test drove one and had to have one. Good power, nice torque curve, smooth ride, good build quality, awesome styling. I get a nice big grin on my face every time I turn on the engine.

You will be happy. If you get the A6 though you will want to get a tranny tune to pull all the GM nanny stuff off of it. But of coarse that voids you warranty.

I am probably going to wait till my 3 year/36000 mile warranty is up and then headers and tune for my A6. Now don't get me wrong the A6 is fun and I have burned of 2 sets of tire at 20k miles and I do not break stand. Just get 0-the speed limit as fast as I can

I have a Saturn Ion too. My plan when I bought my Camaro was to drive it for a couple of weeks (to let the "new" wear off.....after 6 mos, the "new" is still there), then just use her for an after hours/weekend car. That plan has gone to hell in a handbasket. I CANNOT leave her in the garage and drive the Saturn all day...I feel like I'm being unfaithful to my Camaro by driving something inferior. So, in my opinion, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
