Everyone so far has presented valid points for both sides, but it'll boil down to user preference in the end, as usual. However, since you said what's the cheapest way, you're probably looking for a S/C. Most TT kits are a bit more expensive, though they present higher power throughout the RPM range. The low end torque and immediate availability of power from a S/C is undeniable, and makes for alot of fun off the line. And, if you're looking for a strong loping sound with ear-splitting thunder, the S/C will make you smile!! Camaro21 on here has a Maggie with 3" straight pipes, and I can say first hand the sound is beastly!! TT kits are strong power makers, but the amount of plumbing and parts involved is usually associated with a higher cost. As for which is cheapest in either style, talk to a few reputable shops, and they'll give you an honest answer as to what you're looking for, and all costs associated now, and in the future. These shops should also advise as to what other upgrades you'll want to make for certain power levels, i.e. fuel system, tranny, half-shafts, etc.

A few S/C's to look at:
Maggie TVS2300
Edelbrock E-force
Kenne Bell
Vortech (Cent.)
Procharger (Cent.)
And I think Whipple is getting one out, too.

The TT kits out:
Hellion
Granatelli Motorsports/TTi
IPS Motorsports
STS has one as well, though I don't know much about it.
Fastlane (Single Top Mount Turbo System, but makes awesome power)

Sorry if I missed anyone, this is what I have in my head. In the end, you need to be happy with your choices, so go for what you feel and you can rarely go wrong!! Good luck with all this and let us know how it works out for you!

You could run both..... and do compound boosting... IIRC,

The supercharger still gives the great performance down low as well as spools the turbos faster..... and you get the benefits of both......
