Yeah, I heard ya make runs on the first two laps, but there wasn't much wiggle room to make big runs. Your car sounded great from where I was

My son and I had a great time! It was great to see so many C5 of all different colors and options at one location. It's even better to have met so many C5 lovers. Thanks to Sam and Robert for letting us tag along for the drive up there. Thanks to the CenTex Camaro guys for letting us Camarovan up there. Finally, thanks to the LSC guys and Classics for organizing the event.

Two things we are wishing for which could make this even better: 1) 6 laps for $60? (-: and 2) better grouping of cars to get a little higher speed (-:.....On the way back, our adrenaline was so high, we were having a bit of fun on a pretty long stretch of emptied 35W....I know we shouldn't be speeding, but what do you expect from a bunch of middle aged kids coming home from the race track. This speed thing is pretty addictive.

Reminds me of Talladega Nights when they interview Ricky Bobby for the first time.

Hey all...

it was good seeing everyone. Just wanted to add a few pics I had that differed from yours.

One of the diffuser that we all signed, one of my GF and her new and improved (sexier) Camaro5 shirt, and us in Victory Lane. Looking forward to looking through all the links of pics.

On a side note... if anyone has video with sound of my 427 taking some of those big corners let me know!!

thanks again everyone... what a great day.

What kind of speeds were you doing on the track?

We led the last group (directly behind the pace car), and couldn't get over 90 mph. We stayed right on him, but he wouldn't go any faster. It's for the kids, so it's all good.

That's why it's best to be one of the last cars. Let a bit of a gap open up on a straight-away, then come out of the corner hard and you can hit 100-105 easily before catching up!
