Car Wash -- does a new Camaro deserve such treatement?

While at the car wash today with my wife's Trail Blazer this is what came in behind us.

How many people use the local car wash to clean their Camaro? I have never taken mine thru the car wash and never plan to do so either. Only hand washing for my Camaro.

Pshh. I do it all the time as a quick clean up when I don't have a spare 3 hours to do a perfect job. As long as it doesnt have those automatic spinning brushes, you are fine.

I only use touchless washes but that is only during the winter months. No other choice.

I do it as a quick fix and also to blast the underbody from time to time, but only at the laser washes, nothing touches my car but my hand in a wash mitt.

For those who use touchless carwashes, PLEASE DON'T, they're more harsh than regular ones. Since there is no use of cloths the wash jets are more powerful in order to clean a vehicle. I won't even use them on my truck!
Just my thoughts, the decision is yours, but, next time you consider one, remember what I said.

I've only done it once, but a touchless carwash is'nt going to hurt the car.

just did it today, car was dirty, we were getting in it to go somewhere, didn't have time to wash it so instead went to a touchless car wash that I use on occassion.

I've had my Camaro since Sep of 09...I have used a touchless car wash once a week on Fridays before our local Camaro club meets and my car looks great! After exiting the wash bay, I carefully dry my car with clean microfiber cloths, working from top-down. The car wash pressure at the one I use does NOT hurt the car! But you should be able to feel if the pressure might be too high for your comfort. If the noise from the jets hitting your car is so loud that it drowns out your music (at about 18-20 or so on the volume level (I have the BA audio system), it may be too high, but I doubt it.

I agree...as I said, my car wash feels pretty powerful, I've been using it for a year, and it has done nothing but help make my car look great!
