How many people use the local car wash to clean their Camaro? I have never taken mine thru the car wash and never plan to do so either. Only hand washing for my Camaro.
I suppose you COULD handwash your Camaro in my town.
Of course, you'll get slapped with a $1000.00 fine. But hey... if you've got money to burn, have at it!

one bad thing about hand wash is hard water spots, scratches from dirt impregnated in mit or sponge and 2 hours to wash the car. Touchless all the way baby, plus they use soft water to avoid water spotting.

Warlock says with Thor, Thor V 2.0 and Magni.

The COOP car wash in Okotoks, Alberta (10 minutes south of Calgary) has an awesome, completely touchless system that rotates around your Camaro. I appreciate the fact I don't have to worry about my rims, or Warlock's paint. They even have a manual spray that you can put on your Camaro's front end and back of side-mirrors (and rims too) before you enter the carwash that REALLY soaks in... and removes organic matter on the first pass of water. Bug splats on my Camaro are a thing of the past!!!

Warlock actually giggles at the sidesprays that clean his rims. Does a little "ticklish dance" every time he goes through them.

Well a car wash will remove dust but if you have road grime (ie dew, rain, wet road) on the car the car washes (touchless, brushes, wand) will not take the dirt/grime off. Then you dry it and rub in the dirt/grime and after time swirls. Worse yet you drive home a wet car (gathering dust and dirt and then rub it in...

If you use a touchless was DO NOT hand DRY IT or live with swirls that will come...if you are going to dry your car give it the proper 2 bucket wash first...I use a pay and spray from time to time but never dry it after such because it is still dirty...may look good at 5 feet but it is still dirty...

I am lucky enough to live in the south ie no road salt. Mine is a daily driver so it gets hand washed every other week or so.

Aside: These was a line of Camaros waiting on the car wash across from the Holiday Inn at the Camaro 5 Fest. I hope it was touchless. We asked the folks at the Holiday Inn Express to set up a wash station and they brought out a hose and bucket for all to use. Most hotels will do the same during events like the fest.

So is there any truth to the rumor about car washes recycling the water? If so, what type of filtration do you use?

I take mine to the carwash all the time, first she goes to the do it yourself booth where I get all the bugs and whatnot off. Then she goes to the touchless carwash where she is soaped up and cleaned off, then dried.

Of course all this will change now that I have my Adams kit , The Junkman's Total Paint Correction Kit to be exact .

I run Nyx thru the touchless once a week...will be more when winter gets here since she's a daily driver...there are 3 different kinds of brushless in my area, & I've used them all...I only go to "mine" now though, as the others didn't do a good job...the one I use has the wash bar that goes around the whole car (back & forth twice on the front & rear), has the underbody spray & there are 3 occilating driers on the wash arm, so it runs them over the car & back while the car sits still...you just drive in, park, then drive away when done...I prefer to hand wash, but living in an apt, I hate to go to my parent's house all the time to do it

Hand wash only since day1. Technically day2 as I washed it up when I returned from the maiden voyage.
