It's Friday, nothing to report. Cooped up in the house with a 2 1/2 yr old grandson, no gym, only shoveling snow for exercise. No scales to use :(
I'll be out of town for 4 days and back on track on Wednesday. Until then, stay at it. We will all succeed!

Chasing around a 2 1/2 year old could be exercise in itself and believe me shoveling snow can be as well.

That's great, I was going to suggest that you could get a mechanical fat caliper to track your progress and verify your results with the bod pod but if it's readilly available. I am very curious to know how accurate or inaccurate the bioresistance measurements are.

Well, should find out soon how much different the bod pod readings are from the bioresistance readings. I really wont be able to use it to track progress though since I will be headed out soon for 10 weeks of combat skills training followed by a 6 month deployment. Will probably get the calipers to take with me.

If you decide to get the accumeasure (real easy to use and cost under 20 bucks) it is very consistant and makes for accurate tracking of your results. The FatTrack II I pictured works very well to and also calculates lean body mass and comes with an easy to use measuring tape, that one is around 40 bucks I believe the only problem I have with it is it's hard to hear it beep when you apply pressure. I got them at a GNC.

Cool, thanks! I will look into them!

Good Morning all, just weighed in and no change and
I'll take that as a win this week. I didn't
expected to lose any and I'm delighted I didn't give any
back

I found an inexpensive treadmill at Brookstone I'm going
to get. This way, 20-30 min when I get home is doable.
Thinking I'm going to bundle up and go out in the dark to
walk just isn't realistic. When the weather turns, I can
take my Camaro to a park and walk there. Just got to
get moving.

Great job to everyone to stay on track and participate here.
Thanks to everyone who posted great looking receipes and
gave good advice to keep everyone motivated. I for one
am glad to have all of your help.

Hi Becky, good job. You could use this experience as a tool. Although 1 week is a short period of time for long term goals look at it like this, theoretically, if your diet was about the same as usuall and you made no changes this would be considered a maintanance level, so now create a 500 cal deficit per day and you are where you should be for fat loss, or even better you can achieve that same deficit by adding exercise to burn 500 cals a day and your on your way to safe and reasonable fat loss.

Thanks for the advice. I remember when I did this before, I would
lose about 2 lbs a week on average. Some weeks nothing, next is 3, next
week 1 and so on. So I'm not surprised. The calorie deficit or adding exercise makes perfect sense. I'll work on the calories until the treadmill gets here.

An average of 2 lbs a week is perfect. It will never be consistant, and larger amounts usually are more water weight than fat loss, sounds like you're right on track.

Way to go, a pound is a pound. I'm sure you'll
get back on track with the exercise. As for cheating, Bonnie
would tell you to just move on an forget about it!! Good
advice
