I'm building a custom Blazer. Just a fun rip around truck. I lopped off the rear roof so its like a jeep. Its almost done and I'll post pics when it's done. Anywayz. I just wanted some cheapo Black steel rims. Like Crager Soft 8's or some crap. So I check out Summit racing and bam! |Right there exactly what I want. Aero Wheels, 15x8 with 3" Backspacing. $54 bucks each!!!! So Im like sweet I'll order 5. So because the Canuckistan dollar is at parity I figure a good deal. Right? After everything paid at my door. My business or home the total would be almost $600.00.$260 for the rims, $110 Shipping, Hst, Brokerage blah blah blah. Unbelievable. Free trade my ass. And Im in now way pointing fingers at the US. All the extra crap is on this side. I shoulda known because my 300 dollar spoiler was about $620 when it was all done. Its ridiculous. I'm so pissed.

What is this HST you speak of?
Where I live, we only have 5% GST. That's it.
I do my own Customs paperwork. Any car parts I buy are made in the USA, so no tariffs (LOVE NAFTA!)... sooo pretty cheap.
$260.00 for rims.
$110.00 for shipping.
$13.00 for tax.

So, $383.00 going with your figures. Don't know WHAT they're dinging you with, but you're getting robbed. :(

Which pretty much described how I felt in August at BBOMG 2010 in Oshawa... and having HST piled on top of everything I bought. Holy ****! How do people even LIVE in Ontario????
I built a house recently and paid just over $34,000 in taxes on it. Ouch! If I'd built it in Ontario, however, I'd have paid almost $90,000 in taxes!!!! :upset:

I have family in Ontario I get them their items and then when we get together we do the Mods here. It is not like the good old days now, you need a passport to go back and fourth. It works real well. They get me the things I like from Canada and I get them parts from the US. It was cool to go to Windsor back in the day when we couldn't drink here.
