New ACT Clutch installed,,skips going into 1st

I recently had a new ACT clutch installed in my 2010 SS/RS.
From a dead stop going into first gear it seems to skip or chatter just a bit.
Its very annoying. Is this a break-in issue or is it ME..???

Anyone with an ACT cluth please give me ur thoughts....

Hard to say,

But, You may need to break it in over the course of a couple of weeks

Ted, I installed the ACT twin disk about 2500 miles ago (with "street" disks) and it still shudders a bit when starting from a stop. I have 4:10 gears which gets the car rolling and little easier, I imagine the shudder would be worse with stock gears.

I've learned how to drive it to avoid the shudder, which is basically to rev the engine a bit higher and engage the clutch a quicker. I'm not too happy with my ACT so far honestly.

I recently installed one and yes it does chatter like hell at first but the more miles you put on it the better it gets. After about 1000miles it only have a slight hint of chatter at take off only but not at all annoying.

I don't have experience with the ACT, but I have a twin disk textralia exo skel..

It was ANNOYING, a lot of chatter and as soon as it started grabbing there was a screeching sound..

Called textralia and they asked me to drive the car properly... so I followed their instructions..

rev to 4000 and dump it a couple of times

no chatter and no screeching now, pedal is way different now, gotta re-learn how to drive it properly.
