Raising/Lowering the car
What are your opinions on buying springs such as these http://www.apex-speed.com/bmr-fabric...air-sp020.html to lower the front or rear of the car by an inch or so...
i highly doubt there will be any noticeable changes in handling from just that 1 spring set... but do you think the car even looks better if the front is lowered?

Have you noticed that when you sit in the car it moves up and down, once you change your spring that will be the first thing you notice no longer happens. If you time your bushings then the ride quality will be almost the same but you will notice that it is a little firmer when going into a corner. To really firm up the cornering you will need sways and end links. Quote:
Most will tell you that it visually looks better, but “looks” is in the eye of the beholder!! |

there wasn't a real big change in ride quality on my Chantilly...
she just has Pedders 1inch dropped coils in the front, rear is stock. I like the raked look....and so does Chantilly..

Here is a before and after of one of our customers that went with the Pfadt 1.25 inch springs.
khislop007's Camaro BEFORE Pfadt lowering springs: khislop007's Camaro AFTER Pfadt lowering springs: Here is a picture with the BMR "Split". 1.4 inch lower in the front and 1 incch in the rear. |

IMHO your car will look and handle much better after changing the springs. I have the pfadt springs, 1.25" all around. The pictures posted here really show the difference IMO. Also think of upgrading your sway bars, quite a noticeable difference to say the least. Car corners as if it were on rails. Do your research, there are quite a few threads on this subject ranging between numerous different brands. Pfadt springs and sways fit exactly with what I was looking for, but again there are other high quality springs available as well. I am sure some of the vendors here will be more than able to assist you with whatever you desire.

I notice LittleMT has some big tires, so how does this effect wheel/tire fitment? E.g. if I were to go with 275's up front and 315's in the rear? Rubbing, anything?

I have the exact same setup in a gunmetal finish, 275 front/315 rear. Lowered all around 1.25", no rubbing or anything. The forgestars are a very nice wheel IMHO, wider tire and lower overall weight compared to stock.

How often do you guys need to replace these springs as they are not built like the stock ones?

I would be willing to assume that the quality of the aftermarket springs (well respected brands) is the same if not better than oem quality springs. However, you might see a shorter lifespan for the shocks. Too early to tell though. I am sure some of the experts will chime in if I am incorrect.
