1LT with RS came with spare tire and jack, didnt get charged extra either. I think the spare is only offered on the V6 because it wouldnt fit over the Brembos? Correct me if Im wrong...

So,...with all your research. You missed the part about the spare tire "option"?

Also keep in mind that your 5 year/100,000 mile warranty also covers roadside assistance that included flat tires and towning to your local GM dealership. That is pretty good in my eyes.

Maybe you should have bought a spare tire instead of a Camaro!

Sorry to hear about your upsetting experience. I wish my car came in ABM, but GM canceled it before I could buy. I post on this website all the time that they should bring ABM back because in my opinion it is a color that looked wonderful on the Camaro, more wonderful than any other color. With that said, I still bought a Camaro because this one negative was outweighed by all the positives about the car I now own! Just get in the car and enjoy it! I had to buy winter tires @ $1000 for my car, but that's the price I have to pay for performance. When you ordered your car your dealer should've printed out a sheet with all the options including this one (info also on the window sticker if you bought off the lot):

2005 Corvettes and newer do not have spare tires (run flat tires) I have the 2SS and knew it did not come with a spare tire. I purchased the Camaro SS spare tire kit from the ebay guy and now I have options if I have a flat.

As far as the spare, it's no big deal to pick one up or use the alternative inflator/sealer system..... you either love the car or you don't, but you shouldn't be bashing GM for your woes.....

1) You have GM road side assistance that includes fixing your tire.

2) Most tires go flat because of an air leak, the tire runs hot and blows; the tire pressure monitoring system will alert you of low air pressure before it gets dangerously low.

3) How many people really change a flat tire anymore? In five years, a spare will be optional on most cars.

4) It's right on the Chevy build website to add a spare tire, this option is not hidden from anyone.

spare tire = more weight = less mpg

if u dont like the sealant from GM, buy a better quality/brand of sealant aftermarket

I think that all cars should have a spare tire. But found that the Camaro versions I wanted did not, not happy but wasn't a deal braker GM could have designed the spare area to hold a tire but chose not to. Some of the places I travel, don't have cell service so a flat could be an issue.

Its not just GM, Dodge and BMW among others are doing the same thing - particularly on cars with large diameter wheels.

Do a search on this site for spare tire. You'll find a complete parts list, and you can order everything from any GM parts store except the tire itself. You have to get the tire directly from Maxxis. Ignore the threads about the EBay kit - that's only for V-8's with Brembo brakes.

Oh, and its a bad idea to use any type of sealant in a flat tire...
