Haha sorry about that! But its seems when you start feeling sick it just takes a spiral downward effect........just have to take it easy or stop working out!

I liked it all but the above. Never behind the head, always in front. Too much pressure on the rotator cuff. Even lat pulls, in front, NOT to the back. No need "asking" for injury.

great job on the others.

Everyone is doing great.

Lookin' real good Bonnie, by the time August comes your gonna' blow them away.

Today was leg day for me. I am surprised at how well I maintained my strength after the past two months, in a couple of weeks I should pass my previous highs and keep on going.

careful on the ball crunches. In your catagory, a narrow, thin midsection is needed. Too much work on the abs, with weight, will build muscular abs, and great for guys, not good for the girls. Keep the ab workout going, but go light on the weight.

wow, that mid-center back is awesome, along with traps, shoulders, arms. glutes will come along, you know they are always the last. The way that last pic was taken, (lens, angle, etc) added about 10 lbs on the booty. ... Kill the cameraman!

The body building judge I've worked with a bit told me not to do abs very much for similar reasons. He said it builds the muscles which make the waist wider and can take away from the "V" appearance from shoulder to lower back. He actually said white guys no ab work, black guys can do them. Something about muscle structure and shape between the two.

Everybody has a 6 pack.....it's just usually buried under 2 inches of fat.

This is true, some people striving for a six pack work their abs way to much. The abs should be worked just like everyother muscle group. Usually abs are done last in a workout and not excesively. When doing most exercises properly you engage your abs so they have been working hard already. If you work your abs hard you often get a bigger looking belly because the muscles, as you said, are under a layer of fat , when the muscles get bigger the fat gets pushed outward. This is why they say six packs are made in the kitchen not in the gym.

My lifts are down a few punds but only a few, I expected to have to build up to previous levels but I'm just about there. Tomorrow will be leg day so I'll see where I stand with squats and deads that will be the test if I lost some overall strength. Even my HIIT is almost as intense as normal. Other than the weight gain (12 lbs) everything seems good. We'll see how it goes after the weeks out. It feels great to be back at it and the 12 lbs will be history in no time.
Glad that you are able to get back into it now! Looking forward to watching your progress!!

Great info on the Abs!! I only use an 8 lb medicine ball while doing Mason twists. I was considering adding more weighted exercises, but after reading these posts I guess I need to step away from the chocolate instead (although more weights would be EASIER!!! )

Like speedy said we all have six packs, they;re just hidden under the fat. You see on tv all the time ab machines producing six packs and lean bodies but the fact of the matter is crunches and sit ups do very little for showing your abs, or for fat loss. They burn very few calories relatively speaking and getting rid of all belly fat is what shows the abs. Even with rigerous exercise, diet is of the most importance.
