It cracks me up that Pontiac took the Australian Monaro and slapped GTO on it.

What the hell else was GM gonna do? They killed the F-Body in '02 and they sure as hell weren't going to let the Mustang have the RWD coupe market to themselves when they saw the error of their ways by '03. Therese was already toast so they couldn't very well restart production. A

Answer?

Pontiac Monaro.. nah. GTO? Why not. Didn't sell because it was just a stop-gap until the Camaro program had been prepped for concept intro by '06.
