They will be stroking out my L99 to 419 and installing all forged internals, Callies Dragon slayer crankshaft and I'm also doing the LS3 conversion by getting rid of the DOD lifters and replacing them with the LS7 lifters while also going with a more aggressive cam.

That was just the engine portion of the build. I didn't mention some of the other goodies.

Ok I wasn't sure since they charged you for a LS3 Block which shouldn't be the case as you already have the Block used by the LS3. My first concern is that they are charging you for every single part of an engine when you most likely won't need to. I know they aren't expensive but spark plugs/oil filter/oil/antifreeze don't need to be changed.

Looking at the Janetty packages for the parts to do an LS3 conversion and cam. They charge about $2000 in parts and so does RDP. My other concern is just how much they charge for the block when I have a strong feeling they don't need to charge you for it at all.

I know the crankshaft alone is close to $1,300 or so. I will ask them about what you mentioned though. If they feel it's best to go with a new LS3 block I can just sell mine and get some money back. I was already planning on selling my Comp Cam.
