San Antonio - oil change help

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a reliable place to get my oil changed if I provided the oil/filter and the cost they would charge to do it. I'm kind of new to the San Antonio area, and with previous cars, I have just taken them to Firestone. I am not a huge fan of that because they always tell me something is "wrong" with my car when I just want an oil change

Oh, the main reason in me doing it this way is to get a little on the cheaper side of these expensive oil changes (so I was just looking to pay for labor). I will be buying the oil bulk from Costco. Doing the oil change myself isn't really an option with where I'm located at right now, but will be in the future when I have my own place .

Any help is appreciated.

Bring the car, oil, and filter and I'll do it for $10.

Go to Gunn Chevrolet and bring your own Mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter and they will do it

A dealership may do it for you for cheaper. Id call first tho. Gunn is good. I bought my car at Vara Chevrolet. My finace works at Tom Benson Chevrolet and I can check into it how much they would charge just for labor. Seeing that you have an SS you're running with synthetic oil and the oil changes alone at a dealer are gonna run you close to $70. If youre providing the material, im not sure how much labor may be.

I got my buddy that runs a tire shop to do it. I wanted to do it my self but I'm so busy I just couldn't find time. Also I gave him my torque wrench and the ft.lb to torque everything to but it never clicked. But all is good with no leaks. It really is pretty simple if you got all the right tools nearby.

That would be cool if you could find out how much from Tom Benson. I was thinking about going there since its right where I work. I might even call them tomorrow . Thanks for the replies.

Spoke with my Fiance and she doesnt think the service department will do it with products you bring in. You may have better luck from the guy charging you $10 lol. Sorry, wish i would have heard better news but it may not hurt to give them a call still and ask. If you call you may actually speak with my fiance since she's also one of the operators . Good luck with the oil change.
