Yesterday, I took my car to Discount Tire to get new tires on my 2010 2SS. One of the young men working there, went to drive my car into one of the stations to service it and drove it up the ramp. Before he got out, he revved the engine a few times, and when he stepped out I saw him nod his head a in excitement and noticed he had a huge permagrin.

I knew my Camaro gave me a permagrin but that was the first time I saw it affect someone else

. Just thought I would share because it made my day.

Maybe it's just me, but i catch an employee reving my engine they're gonna hear about it from me... loudly!

Oh no they revved my SPORTS CAR engine.... The engine might blow... wait... isn't the engine mad to be revved... hmm... I WANT A DISCOUNT.

You should get in an SS and see what I mean.

Show me one person on this earth who wouldn't rev a v8.

And these engines are BUILT to be revved. They have so many fail safes.. And they can take quite a bit of abuse.

An engine that can handle 6xx rwhp will be fine with a few revs. It's not like the guy was holding it in redline trying to blow the engine.

So why don't you and the rest of the "my camaro is a bugatti veyron" squad chill out and stop acting like the car is going to blow up.

I had a ProCharger 650hp vette C6 (V8) and know how better off the "REV" on that compared to the Camaro V8!

Furthermore..who said anything about "not revving a v8?" and whats that got to do with our subject? u confuse me bro!

The statement held on another revving your car, despite the capability of the engine when revved!

You all act like spoiled children who get mad when others touch your toy to admire it.

The kid got in the car, revved it, permagrinned. Then the buggati veyron squad jumped on the wagon foaming at the mouth.

Everytime my car has been anywhere for service it has been revved and I love it because I get to hear what my car sounds like. If the guy was burning his tires out, or accelerating, then hell yeah i'd be mad, but c'mon.. a revs a rev.
